The plot was more complex with political intrigue which I liked. But some of the characters and action seemed too modern. Still a nice diversion overall.

I didn’t understand the mystery or the reason behind the murder. It was too much to follow.

Finally finished. Not for me. I was super bored and utterly uninvested. Idk if it’s because I jumped into the middle of a series, but each one is supposed to be stand alone. 

I just didn’t care. Could barely tell you the plot. Giving 2 stars because the narration was good.
