I really liked some parts of this and didn't like others, certainly a lot of wisdom contained within. Maybe I'm just an amateur or maybe Brecht ruined me for this?

Did not like this book other than a few select views within the philosophy, extremely vague and confusing to understand. Barely would consider this a real philosophy given that it’s so fluid and open ended due to its extreme vagueness. Doesn’t even answer anything, the Tao is the answer….. wtf does that even mean, like what actually is the Tao. Lazy philosophy lazy book that tries to sound deep.

The text is 3 star, don’t agree with it philosophically but the translation intro and appendices by D.C.Lau are very informative and helpful so have bumped it up because of his amazing work to make the text more intelligable
