It was so hard to put this book down! Instantly from the moment I cracked it open it was intense. Such a great read!

Great new book, with a different type of plot than some of the others... a bit more Scot Harvath meets Hatchet (the Gary Paulson novel)... with several twists and turns and surprises that keep you reading as well as an ending that feels like traditional Harvath
Not the best book if your just jumping in to the series, but a great new addition that picks up immediately after the last one.

Another great story

I now mourn the fact that I’ve finished this book! It’s a great page turner that you won’t be able to put down. Bring your passport because you’re about to travel the world with Scott and his team!

Wow, this one was one of the best Harvath books in a while. It reminded me of another great book. Last of the Breed by Louis L'Amour. Although I feel a little sad for Scott it is still great action all the way through. Strongly recommended.

I think this was my first Brad Thor read. I found it to be an action-packed read that was mostly enjoyable but I found the last quarter (or so) to be a bit over the top with bravado and lacking for me. 3.5 stars.

“Inside every human being was a very dark, very cold place. Sealed behind a heavy iron door, the cold dark was populated by the worst demons known to man.
But crack that door—even just an inch—and out all of the demons would fly. And once they had escaped, there would be no bringing them back until they had fed.”

“Death was never easy. It was messy and complicated on the best of days. On the worst of days, it was tragic, heartbreaking, and incredibly unfair.”

“Life is short. Love who you are. Love what you do. Make every day count.”
