3.5 stars rounded up because I couldn't put it down.

This book is my very nightmare become real. I thought Ebola (you know, micro-organism that I can't see but rots me from the inside?) was the most terrifying thing. But nope. This book is.

AND IT'S FREAKING REAL. Mostly. BUT ENOUGH OF IT IS REAL.

I'm going to go read a cozy book about tea now.

DNF. Gothic. Seems to be written for a younger audience.

I do not remember the last time I was so scared reading a book πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ 10/10!! I have to admit I do not remember if I’ve ever read the original fall of the house of usher, but this sorry captivated me from the first to the last page ! Amazing storytelling, great pace and authentic real-people-like feeling diverse set of characters. Bonus points for the witty comments about the Americans and British πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ cannot wait to grab the second book in this series (I love the first person narration of Alex Easton they’re the most hilarious ex soldier of a made up country to ever character in a book)
