I laughed quite a bit reading this! 3.5 stars for me. Do the stars mean I'm rating her life...because that's weird...

I'm a huge fan of celebrity memoirs that are actually collections of essays from their life. I'm a sucker for Audiobooks read to us by their narrator. I'm a die-hard lover of Anna Kendrick from her role in Twilight (which I don't even like) to her roles in Pitch Perfect her musical works. I love her brashness, that she is unafraid to stand up and use her voice and her privilege and her snark to lift up and advocate for women.

Sometimes her jokes missed the mark. A few times, I didn't like them and they didn't sit right with me. Otherwise, this was flawless.

During the course of this story, I fell in love with Anna's parents who seriously went way above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we got to see the wonderful talent that Anna presents us with. I laughed a lot, but not as much as I wish I had. That, again, was the biggest downfall for me.

Loved the book. The self depreciating talk gets to be a bit much at times (for reading purposes) but I feel like I'd be Anna's BFF in real life because of it so there's that. It was a fun read.

Well done! She’s very charismatic and funny, and a good writer. She seriously needs to learn not to trash herself so much though. The self-deprecating humour was somewhat overwhelming.

I don't think I was the right audience for this book. I think she's extremely talented but the foul language and snark were way too much for me.

I like it, it was an easy read. Not the best of this type I have ever read, but certainly good for he beach or the bathtub
