I was given this book, by the author in exchange for an honest review.

So first off, wow. Next I want to say that this book took some of the best tropes from the 80’s made movies / shows and used them to the benefit of a good story. It has the unity and friendship of Goonies, Stranger Things and IT, it has the creepy origin story of any good possession case, and it has the smooth storytelling of movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer. With that said it’s evidently clear I enjoyed this. My only gripe is that it can feel really familiar takes a lot of safe turns that i feel could’ve been built out more, maybe expanded on. The twists were fun though especially with a certain character. This book gets from me 4.5 out of 5.

Thank you, John for the awesome book!
