Very predictable and kind of dull, but that seems to be what you can expect from a free book on the Kindle store. At least this one had a plot, even if it wasn't very interesting. There wasn't even much chemistry between the two main characters. It all seemed very formulaic and forced.

This book was every bit as sweet as it was sad. It’s the story of a girl who can’t do anything right in her father’s eyes. But as most fathers out there, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his daughter. It’s tough love, but it’s love, nonetheless.

It’s also a story about a woman who couldn’t quite figure out what to do with her life. It’s been years since her husband passed, but she can’t seem to figure out how to live. It’s incredibly sad to see the lengths that she would go to preserve a business she no longer care for, just because that’s all she ever knew. Even to the point of losing her chance at love, and her son, who devoted his life caring for her.

I really enjoyed this one. It had just enough angst to balance out the sweet. It was funny and incredibly sad sometimes, but for me it was nearly perfect. Eve and Treat is quite the couple.

SIDESTORY: The villain gets her own romance, too.

I have nothing bad to say about this book not like I would. Its a great fun feel good read.
You don't much like the mother but she grows on you. I like that there were 2 love stories in this book that doesn't happen often and I really liked that.

Seriously who couldn't love a hot sexy man with the name Treat!! Am I right or am I right.
So far I am liking this series. It is labeled under Erotica but I don't really see it as that more like Contemporary Romance there is sex but not all that explicit like you would expect with an Erotica novel. :)

This was a sweet read but terribly sad in parts.
I really loved Eve and Treat together, both were fun and very likable. I'm a sucker for any romance centered around sweets and coffee!
The character that really held my interest was Treat's mom, Margaret. Her behavior was terrible until the end but I really felt for her and her "broken" spirit. I was so happy to see her find herself again (and the passion that was missing).
In all honesty I love romances between older couples (40's, 50's, 60's+) because I feel these H/h's have a lot to share and usually know what they want and don't want! OK, off my box.

This was a fun read and I gave it an extra star because of Margaret and Grant! :)

3.5-4 cute easy romance. The phrase speared his fingers through her hair drove me nuts. Aside from that it was a good beach/pool read

Eve took a chance in quitting the family business and opening the cafe she always wanted. She gets an opportunity to bid for a major chef's book release party, but then little disasters start to plague her shop. In the meantime, her heart has been captured by Treat, whose mother happens to be creating said little disasters. Treat must do something to get out from between the drama involving these two women while still preserving his relationship with both.

Things to love
The characters. Eve is strong and confident, fun and flirty, yet serious and focused. Treat is swoon worthy. Mom, well, she is kind of a psycho, but Grant, he is a sweetheart. The story has just the right amount of drama and conflict, without getting too soapy and the romance is cranked very high.

Great, read
