Emily Henry has my whole heart. The way she writes women, female friendship, and honestly just the experiences of her characters makes me feel so seen.

I love reading about unhinged women as much as anyone, but there's something about a woman who is trying SO HARD to be hinged and learning that it doesn't serve her the way she thought it would. I love Harriet so much.

Beautiful story and written in such a way, I felt like I was there with the characters. I read it in 3 days and I can't remember when I last read a book so fast!

I would have probably been devastated if the book didn't end how I was hoping it would so thank you for keeping me on the edge of my seat without crushing my dreams at the end of the book, Emily Henry!

Safe to say that Emily Henry has not disappointed yet again.

Happy Place is not just about the memories we have that are linked with locations, but also the people that we call home. I found myself relating so much to the sorrows and struggles of the main characters, both Harriet and Wyn. Emily Henry has really beautifully detailed a relationship where sometimes things go wrong, even if both people love each other.

What I really loved about this book was the focus on friendships and platonic love. Often times we tend to forget that love is not bound to romance, and this is an idea that is perpetuated by many romance writers. I am grateful that the satiety of having friends you can call your own 'happy place' is mentioned here.

I think Emily Henry was in my house, studying me and picking apart my brain when coming up with Harriet's character.

As the younger sister who craves parental acceptance and as an extrovert who is forced to be an introvert, this book hit so close to home. So many things that Harriet felt about her home life are things that I struggle with too. The fear of losing your friends so you just push them away to get it over with is also so close to home.

I can't thank EmHen enough for writing this and for me being able to read it during a chapter of my life where I needed it most.
