I loved that book. I think having read the other books in the series (2, 3, 5, 6) before this one made me appreciate this book more. All the little details made more sense.

“All I know is I can’t seem to stay away from you even though I know I should.”

For her, I wanted to be better. Do better. Why? It was the question I’d wrestled with since the beginning. But there was something about her, this woman, that made me want to make her proud.

It wasn’t black and white, this world he’d pulled me into. There wasn’t a clear-cut line between right and wrong, not like I’d believed before.

I couldn’t look into the future and not see her face.

🗞️ First person dual POV
🗞️ First in a series that can be read as stand alone

🗞️ Enemies to FWB
🗞️ All the chemistry 🔥
🗞️ He falls first
🗞️ Protective MMC; “Touch her & I’ll kill you”…literally
🗞️ Found family
🗞️ Banter
🗞️ A woman is murdered. Bryce wants the story. All signs point to the Tin Gypsies Club, but their Leader, Dash, isn’t what he seems.
🗞️ MC growth: Fulfilment in career, fulfilment in partnership/family, risking a relationship, past trauma, trust, communication.
🗞️ Well established secondary characters: Isaiah, Draven, Genevieve (Book 2), Presley (Book 3), Leo (Book 5), Emmett (Book 6).
🗞️ Consent

I really enjoyed this book, it started a little slow but once I got into the story I couldn’t put it down. The mystery aspect of the story was really well done, it kept me guessing. I was disappointed that it wasn’t resolved in this book so hopefully the remaining questions are answered in book 2. I liked the romance between Dash and Bryce but the murder mystery plot was the real driver of this story. Looking forward to continuing this series!
