This was a cute summer romance, with a bit more depth then I was expecting. I am very much liking this authors writing and will be picking up more of her books.

Girl I loved this 😭 this is definitely the steamiest book Carley Fortune has written, but that’s not why it’s my favourite so far. I just had so much fun reading this. I absolutely loved Lucy & Bridget’s friendship. And I loved Lucy’s aunt. And of course Felix 🤭 I got attached to him when he just kept being so thoughtful and kind. Like HUH. I kept putting the book down thinking “guys just get MARRIED” they were so cute. And PEI was a wonderful setting for this novel. I loved how Anne of Green Gables was threaded throughout the book. It’s such a nostalgic book for me, that I just loved this book even more for putting it in such a reverent light.
Also, side note. Huddle in squad. Felix underlining that one quote in Great Expectations?!?!?! I fell to my knees emotionally. Like that was a prime example of me thinking GUYS GET MARRIED OH MY GOD. Also them sending books and seeds back forth?!?!?! They hadn’t even told each other how they really felt but that was ROMANCE. Girl, I was kicking my feet. That being said, they don’t get engaged or married in this book and I don’t care 😭 it was so well done.
