This was a DNF for me. While I really wanted to like it; I had issues with it from the beginning. From the odd “prescriptions” the therapist prescribed to the main character in the story to the way in which some of it hit just too close to home…it just wasn’t what I was expecting. While it was a 1 star read for me, maybe it’ll be a 5 star read for you.

a little repetitive but thus is life. dr rosen seems a little unethical but like cool if he helps people i guess. it was good but nothing to write home about. just to write goodreads about

To open up, I needed a therapist who could hear the echoes of pain in my silences and see the truth under my denial.

It still scares me, other people's anger, but I know it's part of intimacy. I know it's okay to let it be. I breathe through it the best I can.

2.5

The story is interesting and will keep you reading. The questionable ethics & practices of the famous Dr. Rosen will leave you cringing and skeptical.

Quick, easy read. I really enjoyed this book - although I am admittedly probably the *precise* target audience. Not sure if others would enjoy it as much, but it was thought provoking and held my attention, which is sadly quite rare these days.

This was a really interesting listen! I don't know much about group therapy so this was eye-opening. A lot changed for the author's life. I was emotional for the ride.

Wow - this was a true story. You are definitely in for a wild ride with Christie, when you start this book, but you can't help but root for her and hope she sorts out her life. Some of the dating and the habits of the group -make you wonder how truthful this is as you hold your place and slide to the back cover so you can see if Christie looks crazy or is even how you picture her. She binged on apples? Read this.
