Loved it.

This was a cute little story. I loved all the little societal nuances that the author added into this story to make it relatable.

Currently starting over with reading. Every book I was reading goes on does not finish. Need to start over due to reading slump.

This book was fine. It was enjoyable and an improvement over the initial book in this series. Biggest complaint would be that there wasn't any conflict, really.

Who knew that by walking into the men's restroom you'd find the man who turns out to be the love of your life.. Chrissie certainly didn't. At her best friends bachelorette party, desperate for the bathroom and not able to wait in the long women's line, Chrissie sneaks into the men's room where she finds the most gorgeous man she's ever seen. After finding out he's the owner of the club, she proceeds to push him away thinking he's too good to be true, but he proves her wrong and shows her exactly the type of man he is.

"Most things have a story about who made it and why."

This one is a bit bittersweet for me (I will explain why in a second). I went into Baiting Him with ultra-high expectations, and I am thrilled that this book did not disappoint. Baiting Him is the second installment of Aurora’s How To Catch An Alpha series. After enjoying Catching Him, book 1, and now, Baiting him, book 2, it is clear that Aurora Rose Reynolds has a gift for writing swoon-worthy storylines with delicious sex scenes.

The novel follows Chrissie, Leah’s friend (from book 1), on her sizzling journey to love with Gaston, the club the owner she meets in the men’s bathroom at Leah’s bachelorette party. There was instant chemistry from the moment they laid eyes on his other, and I was here for every agonizing minute that Chrissie made Guston work to earn her love.

Okay, here comes my explanation about the bittersweet aspect. This book was a four-star for me. I would have loved to see the couple’s relationship tested more from outside sources as that would have made it a tad more believable. Then again, that could mean that I like to have drama in romance novels that rip the couple apart then watch as the couple defies all odds and allow their love to bring them back together again. So, I kept sitting at the edge of my seat, waiting for the bar manager or Chrissie’s mom to throw a wrench their vision of love and have their love grow even more as they defy all odds.

On the other hand, though, I did still enjoy how Gus handled his overly flirtatious bar manager when laying the cards out on the table, and loved that he instantly made Chrissie his number one priority as soon as he laid eyes on her. In so many ways, it was him who was baiting Chrissie, who, in turn, had no clue that she was baiting him by simply being herself.

All in all, this novel is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face if you love easy-going, swoon-worthy, contemporary romances. I can’t wait to get to know more about Anna, Chrissie’s new assistant, while she finds the love of her life in Hooking Him (book 3).

Thought this was a really cute and very enjoyable. Just felt like there could be more storytelling for the overall book. It just felt like wham bam insta-love meet cute (which Reynolds is know for) but, I just felt she did it better in her previous books. There just wasn't a build up to plot or character development.

Baiting Him was a sweet, low angst, engaging, enjoyable story. That sucked me in from the very start. Thanks to likable characters, who shared lots of chemistry and a well developed plot line. That was very easy to read, not to mention entertaining, and I would happily recommend it to others.

This is the second book in the Catching Him series. I really enjoyed the first book, so I'm glad there was another one. We met Chrissie in the first book. She's friends with the main character of Leah in that book. This book has dual perspectives between Chrissie and Gaston.

We meet Gaston when Chrissie decided to skip the female bathroom to use the mens in what we learn is his club. From there on the romance continues :). I also loved Gaston's little sidekick LeFou. Funny Beauty and the Beast reference. However Gaston was no villain in this story. I really enjoyed the dialogue between the two characters, and they brought in plenty of side characters if the author decided to continue on this story line :).

I enjoyed this story and would recommend this series to others.
