4.03 AVERAGE

This is where the series starts to get a little hairy if you don't hold on tightly. A lot of new information is uncovered that even Poppy & Casteel don't fully understand so we're in the dark with them throughout. More importantly, a lot of what is uncovered will tie into the prequel series (Flesh & Fire by JLA) so paying attention to little details will come in handy. Cliffhanger ending, which is rough since after this point it's best to dive into the prequel series- as someone who read what has been so far published of FBAA multiple times without reading the prequel series cause I didn't think it was necessary... read it. It's Not NECESSARY, but can almost guarantee you'll be irritated with things that seem random and convenient if you don't

Woof, this one is a wild ride. A little longer than it needed to be, in my honest opinion. The last 15-20% are where it really picks up again.

Love Kieran in this one. Cas and Poppy are just as hot as ever.

Worth the read if you’ve finished the first two.

Part 1 was ok. Learned a little more of Poppy’s heritage and her link to the gods, but overall, they’re still journeying to Esamon. King and Queen might have more info about what exactly Poppy is, but not a fan of the gatekeeping. Alastair a hoe. Part 2 reminded me of FBAA with the backbone of the book, more world-building and understanding the realm of the gods. Helps understand the reading order of FBAA nad FAF. The last 10 minutes of the book is a great segue to FBAA #4.

i cried just give poppy and cas a break for the love of god

While the ending was compelling and piqued my interest in what will happen next, I can't in good conscious rate it any higher based off 97% of the writing. TBD if I manage to read any further in the series.
