This is by no means a perfect book, but it's imperfect in a way I have a lot of patience for. There's a push/pull between Megs's story being a framing device for Lewis's tales of his life and having it's own depth and arc that didn't completely work for me. There are moments of beautiful descriptive writing, though, and observations on the creative process that are quite moving.

What a beautiful book! Though a bit saf, the characters are well written and I found the plot a fascinating one. I have a special place for Narnia and especially Aslan. I thought this was cozy and thought provoking about stories and how they intertwine with out lives. Would recommend and now I want to read Becoming Mrs. LEWIS!

3.25 ⭐️ A sweet and heartfelt book that tackles the question, “Where did Narnia come from?”

I'm stingy on my 5 stars, but I rated it 5 stars because it was a wonderful story and it was the right book at the right time.
