The final part of Octavia, Finley, Mav, East, and Linc’s story was the perfect conclusion. After the secrets V kept came to light, it was hard to see how the resolution would happen. Indi has been the best companion for Octavia as she navigates her life, relationships, and the Knights. Smithy is a present father figure who can make a mean milkshake. I love a good secret organization, but this one has a surprise leader who will hopefully turn them around with the help of Octavia and her men.

Good way to wrap up the story. The Smithy plot line I totally did not see coming! They guys definitely break your heart a little bit in this one. Karma was definitely served up at the end!

This is a satisfying conclusion overall but it was just missing something for me compared to the previous books. There was still plenty going on but the spice to plot ratio was a little off for me in this one. I still enjoyed it though I just felt after three books in I was ready for more of the Knights and what they were up to. That being said, the parts I liked were really good. The introduction of one particular character was very well done and I though Heather Firth did an amazing job showing Vee's emotional state in some of the later scenes with them. I also loved the closure of her dad's storyline; Vee's grief journey and how it has been handled was been one of the reasons I've enjoyed the series. The male narrators in the final few chapters though had me on the edge of my seat. Linc probably got to me the most; the sheer despair and desperation as the one who always has to be in control came through so strongly in the performance.

Although the main story has concluded, there is still plenty of scope for a return to Echoes Cove. I loved Indi and her guys (her bickering with Maverick is still one of the best parts) and Artemis was another great stand out.

My interpretation of the star system;
3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely and I have added all the authors works to my TBR

Holy crap this book was so good! It was the perfect ending to Octavia and her boys’ story (and I can’t wait for Indi’s!). I’m not going to lie, if it doesn’t make you cry then you probably have no soul

Lincoln, Maverick, Finley, Easton & Octavia
Spice = 4

stalker, angst, amazing best friend, 3 some, reference to child abuse/sexual assault, secret society trying to recruit her, bullied, group scenes

Forever Royal by Lily Wildhart is a dark high school romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Heather Firth, Michael Joss, David Black, Gideon Frost, and Gregory Salinas. This is the fourth and final book in The Knights Of Echoes Cove series.

I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see how it was all going to end. Lily did a great job wrapping up this series. I really enjoyed getting Octavia, Finley, Easton, Maverick, Lincoln, and Stones points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Heather, Michael, David, Gideon, and Gregory did a great job on the narration. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

The Flock Team

I had such high hopes for the final book in this series, but Forever Royal was just okay for me.

I felt like there was something missing from this book that the other three had - maybe it was the mystery and intrigue of the Knights organization, maybe it was that Octavia did exactly what she hated about the guys and their involvement with the Knights. I’m not 100% sure, but I found myself skimming to get to the planning and action.

The guys definitely played a smaller part in this book than in the others. Since Octavia was keeping secrets of her own, she separated herself from them and only showed up at convenient times to get together with one or more of them. I missed some of the relationship development that happened before.

While I was happy to see where the action went and how Octavia and the guys fought for their HEA, it felt a little rushed. So many revelations came out in the last 20% while everything before that just felt like build up. I wish it had been spread more evenly through the book and had some more detail about how things played out and the effect it had on the MCs.

I’m glad these five got their HEA and that we got a little glimpse of it at the end. This series was a wild ride for all of them and it kept me on my toes.
