I had the amazing opportunity to better read the fourth book in this series, the rules we break. This does need to be read in order. I have been patiently waiting for Trevor's story and I could not imagine a better person for him to end up with than Sage. She is so funny and gives Trevor so much shit. She is so playful and yet so very guarded. I love how wild she is and how prosects she is as well. When I tell you the tears that leaked out of my face when I finished this book… If you truly want to see come find me on Instagram I'll show you a picture lol.

Katelyn does it again! Trevor’s story is SO good. I really didn’t expect to love him after the first book. Katelyn’s character development is chef’s kiss. This series is hands down one of my favorites! I’m going to miss these characters, but this book was the PERFECT ending!

🌟 BOOK REVIEW 🌟
The Rules We Break by Katelyn Taylor
🎶 Take It - Unknown Brain, ThatBehavior & RIELL

Why oh why did you make me love Trevor!  I mean, I began to thaw towards him in book three, but this was a whole new level.  It’s no wonder Trevor set forth rules to protect his heart.   Until Sage that is.   One by one Sage broke down Trevor’s rules, and ultimately his walls surrounding his heart.

There is a solid age gap between these two.  But seeing as Trevor never really grew up and Sage grew up quickly due to shitty circumstances, they fit one another perfectly.   Eleven years younger than Trevor, Sage is a savage and doesn’t hold anything back.   Including when inadvertently meeting the parents.  All three of whom are craptastic.   But I just love the sass that comes from Sage and it leads to hilariously fun banter between the two.

Now, the Trevor we knew does anything to get what he wants.  But also, after loosing his first love, when he does open to Sage, he is so thoughtful, protective and loving.   Which I knew was there from how Erica felt about him before.   However, he is a solid “touch her and d!e” type man and it was awesome seeing the pretty boy ready to get his hands dirty.   Oh and how he stuck up for Sage…. always, swoon.

Overall, I recommend this book, but it would be essential to read ATLEAST the first book of the series.   All would be best, but you NEED book 1 first.

Idk how she did it but Katelyn made me go from HATING Trevor to absolutely LOVING HIM.

A lot of it had to do with Sage. I LOVED SAGE she was the perfect FMC that needed to come in and knock Trevor’s ego down. And she did it so well it had me cracking up with her witty come backs.

The enemies to lovers vibes were there and I was obsessed. The chemistry between the two was just *chefs kiss* perfect🥵🔥

I was also really glad that Seb and Trevor ended up making up and Trevor FINALLY got over Erica and found a deeper love with Sage.

It was the perfect way to end the series, even tho I was dragging my feet on wanting to read Trevor’s book😂 I’m glad I did because it’s my favorite of the whole series🤭
