Romanzo dolce e carino.

I enjoyed this book! It's a very lighthearted, easy read about an uptight rich guy in his 40's who has a bit of hypochondria due to his father and grandfather dying young, and a younger farmer who has taken over the busy family farm after his father died.
Both have had past hurt in relationships and both are adamant that they aren't looking for an actual relationship...only the connection that they quickly form challenges them and forces each of them to reevaluate their fears and dreams.
As someone whose father died at 32 years old of a massive heart attack (I was 12 years old), I could sympathize with Harrison's anxiety over his health and the possibility that it could also happen to him. I also had similar thoughts around my 32nd birthday, and still to this day tend to think "I've lived xx years longer than my dad did."
I adored the side characters in the book, specifically, Harrison's mom, who was probably the most detailed, but also the details of how the farm was run and how hard Finn worked to make everything run smoothly.
Lastly, the spice in this was 4/5 with a few very spicy bits

I've been in the mood for MM romance lately, so I asked some people in a Discord group for some recommendations. I was specifically looking for grumpy/sunshine recommendations that were MM and I knew there was someone who would have some recs for me and man did he come through. Clint recommended several books, but this was the first one I read mostly because it was the shortest, but it also sounded like it would be a cute read.
The cover doesn't really do it justice so I just want to start by saying if the cover doesn't draw you in, I hope you can look past that and give it a go because it was so good. It took a bit for me to get into it but once I did, I was hooked, and I couldn't stop reading. This is an opposites attract city/farmer romance and while it was recommended to me as a grumpy/sunshine romance I would say it's low on the grump like I wouldn't even necessarily consider Harrison a grump. Anyways, this was a short book easily read in one sitting although it took me two sitting since I started it so late in the day.
I loved everything about this. I loved the world building and the descriptions. I could easily picture the farm and even the book shop. I loved all of the characters and how this was a good depiction of a small town. Like everyone knew each other and was nice and helpful and not unnecessarily mean like a lot of small-town romances I have read. That being said Finn was a bit judgmental of Harrison because he moved from a big city, but he quickly realizes he was wrong. As for Finn and Harrison, I loved them so much both on their own and as a couple. They are complete opposites but also similar and they both have big hearts and so much love to give.
I loved how shy Harrison came across. He was just so cute. I loved they Finn helped him come out of his shell a little. And them as a couple...damn was it hot!! This was my first book by this author and after reading this I definitely want to check out her back list and I've already gotten another rec from Clint so hopefully I will get to that sooner rather than later.
