Herman Melville wanted to fuck a whale SOOO bad and made it everyone else’s problem. Had to Google why anyone even likes this book, let alone reveres it as a literary classic. “The way the book doesn’t have typical story elements” BLAH BLAH BLAH. I could appreciate a different writing style but when there’s no story to even TELL you’re just wasting my time. I hated this book more than any other book ever. Suffered through with slight glimpses of entertainment that never lasted longer than a chapter. This book is an encyclopedia on whales.
