the point is made very quickly. there is no waiting there is no hypotheticals, everything is stated simply and very matter of fact. it is because of this that i wonder if the examples were almost superfluous. although the specifics were helpful in demonstrating the point and proving it, this was done early on. not a very entertaining read because of this but highly informative with lots of support from various novels and poetry written by black women. a good resource for anyone interested in intersectionality, internalized racism/sexism, and black literature.
