I enjoyed this one! It had my favourite trope in it, which is a fake date to a wedding and then they end up falling it love! I will say that sometimes it felt like the chemistry between Grace and Lia was dwindling at times because it was overshadowed by drama. 3.5 stars! Rachel Lacey is definitely an author I want to read more from in the future!

Love any of rachel lacy’s books. This is the second in the ms right series, i do prefer the 1st one, but still enjoyed this read. What can i say who doesn’t love fake dating, noncommittal types?

I believe that I had this on my list for a while (despite not reading the first installment), but well... this was not what I expected. And not in the good way. It was really hard for me to click with the style, the development was on the slow side and quite monotonous. I was invested at points, but it barely went somewhere so my interest decreased.

😍 The good:
The book started in a promising way, the plot was interesting and the characters' apparent personality and backstories as well. Sadly, the rest was not really up my alley.

😅 The not-so-good:
The characters started becoming quite problematic rather early in the book. The plot was overly dramatic and the pace was too slow even for a slow burn: a lot of talk, not much happening. Initially, the attitudes seemed healthy, but they evolved in a quite problematic manner. After reading some spoilers, I can understand why people feel that the story is predictable (either simplistic or traumatising), and I just did not feel the characters' romantic interactions overall.

I thought this book was so cute! It's an fake dating story and it felt very believable. I adored watching Grace and Lia start to fall for one another. Their flirty and cute moments were so sweet.
In the end I liked this book, it was a sweet and enjoyable read.
