This is a cute book about life in a small town with a renaissance faire. Emily is a the helpful aunt that volunteers to help her niece out by being the adult and is the pulled into a summer at the red faire. There is drama as on the of leads is Simon the hot English teacher who is a pain to Emily most of the summer.
There are a lot of adorable moments between Emily and Simon and the banter is wonderful. It made me want to go to one just to see all of this play out. The character are fun and you will root hard for Emily to get the HEA.

However, this was so cute and sweet. It made me look forward to going to my Ren Faire this year. I love the enemies to lovers/bad first impression to lovers that give me the feels of P&P.

This does have some heat but for my regular steamy/spicy readers, this is barely there, not really descriptive scenes. One main and a mini one and that is all. For my middle steamy readers, you'll love this, and for my don't like steamy... there will be a couple of small places you will skip over and unfortunately there is a little dialouge in the steam but again there isn't too much description in the scene.

I would love more Simon and Emily and just might have to read the other books just to siphon what little is given of these two in the other books.

I thought this was a really cute romcom, and I really enjoyed the Ren Faire setting. I didn't enjoy the enemies to lovers part of this book. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but once the Simon and Emily got past that, it was a lot more enjoyable. I loved the Simon's pirate character.
