I wanted to like this and it sounded so cute the synopsis but I think it was just too slow for me and not the vibe I’m feeling at this time.
I was thinking it’d be more romance and it’s not. I don’t know that’s just what I was thinking after reading the synopsis and maybe it does get more romance like further in but I just got bored.

Absolutely adorable. The kiddo and the animals were the best parts!

I didn't really like this book from the beginning, the pacing seems a little all over the place. More of a fantasy of a couple finding their perfect third than of a person dating a couple. Didn't enjoy the sex scenes and gave up on the book as the third sex scene started.

Review:
I was very excited about the concept, but I didn’t love how it was executed.
Time passed in a confusing way that felt like it wasn’t quite explained. The development of their attraction and love for each other felt rushed and under-explored. The whole work situation was bizarre. I didn’t love that Buffy turned into the stereotypical struggling SAHM, and I didn’t feel like it was explored enough for it to be any kind of statement.
One interesting thing about Charlie
is that they are nonbinary, and their sex/gender assigned at birth is never mentioned. All of the sex scenes are described in such a way that, while Buffy and Hayden’s bodies are clear to the reader, Charlie’s isn’t. I thought this was a really interesting choice. It did put limitations on the spice, but it served to make the point that non-binary people are not defined by their formerly assigned sex/gender.

Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 3.5: Almost great, but falling short somehow. But more than just tipping the scale into good territory.

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌡️2.5: A little tingle (A few explicit scenes, but short and not very detailed)
