An incredibly written book that’s easy to read. It was so addictive and had me crying. The moral of the story of ‘I can’t leave this’ ends up being too late. There are a couple of lovely quotes that I can’t find now. Although the plot was very predictable it was actually really refreshing. The recurring line “it’s funny because it’s true” sums up the book so well. The end was actually crazy but the setting got slightly confused. Tori is so relatable and the ending had me dying!!

I wish I had read this in high school <3
Bought it for the pretty sprayed edges.
I've read a couple of Oseman's books, and usually it's the characters that make her books good. The writing is consistently mediocre at best and the relationships and themes are sometimes problematic. Oseman tends to write character-driven books, so the plot isn't usually explored that much. This book is no exception. The difference with this book is that I hated the characters. The protagonist was a cold-hearted, childish person who only ever ran away from her problems. I understand that she's depressed, but she shows no improvement whatsoever throughout the book. Her parents and friends don't seem to care either. There is a bit of a romance plot, which seems to imply a little "love heals all'. Once again, Oseman's themes are sometimes problematic. So we're left with the plot, which was sometimes interesting but overall incredibly predictable.
2/5, because of the sometimes interesting plot but my least favourite Oseman book.

podobało mi się, ale zakończenie w ogóle mnie nie usatysfakcjonowało i cały czas miałxm wrażenie, jakby czegoś mi brakowało w tej książce
