I knew going in that this book wasn't going to be anything like Heartstopper, but somehow, the ways in which it was like Heartstopper were kind of my least favorite parts. I was disappointed by how unrealistic the book felt, and I wasn't as charmed by the whole Solitaire thing as I kept hoping I would be. That said, I liked the characters, as somewhat incomplete as they were, and the premise was intriguing and engagingly delivered. (And I wish Tori's character arc included growing out of her whole "not like other girls" thing. Basically, you can tell the book was initially written by a teenager.)

It certainly had some cringy moments, but I genuinely cried like 3 times. I read it really fast, I liked Tory’s POV, and I also liked the final monologue.

Solitaire? Velmi čtivá kniha.. trochu depresivní což se podle mě v období přípravy na maturitu opravdu hodilo :D
A ted trochu z jiného soudku, ale stále ke knize :D Není nic lepšího, když se vás váš spolužák zeptá, proč si čtu knihu o té hře Solitaire.. to tam jakou jsou nějaké fígle nebo co? :D :D
Ale zpět ke knize... i když je trochu depresivní.. najdete tu spoustu námětů na filmy a hudbu... což se někdy opravdu hodí :)

"Solitaire" ist Alice Osemans Debütroman und der Start des Oseman-Verse. Nick und Charlie aus Heartstopper tauchen das erste Mal als Nebencharaktere auf, denn es geht in diesem Buch nicht um sie, sondern um Charlies Schwester Tori. Wie viele Teenager:innen steht auch Tori vor ein paar Herausforderungen und geht durch eine mentale Gesundheitskrise. Das zeigt wunderschön, dass Mental Health kein Tabu-Thema sein muss und darf. Die Geschichte wird spannend erzählt und auch die Charaktere sind liebenswert.
