Really recommend everyone read this book. Answered a lot of questions I had when it comes to true prison abolition, like what would happen to people like rapists and such. Truly some powerful powerful stuff here. Made me want to read everything she’s ever put out. Gave me recs for many more things I need to read and people I need to do research on. Extremely glad I read it.

This was a great addition to my social justice library. I wish that I had read it instead of listening to the audio book, because the interviews and panels all being read in the same monotonous voice ended up being VERY confusing and made some of the content hard to follow. I think this book as a lot of good sections for people both learning to learn more about transformative justice and prison abolition, but also some more advanced material for people looking to push further into the theory.

Helped me to understand more about abolition! Slow in the beginning but definitely picks up.
