Amazing ya mystery thriller book.
Avery I liked immediately as far love triangle goes I'm not picking anyone yet because both them have to do better to deserve her.
I especially liked her relationship with her sister Libby more that in second book.
Best brother is Nash I want with with sister so bad.
Overall I can't wait for second book.

I'm really sad to say that I'm disappointed with this book. It wasn't bad but it didn't do it for me.

I unfortunately didn't have much time to read so I would sometimes read less than 5 chapters a day and I wasn't able to get into the story. Any other time, I should've been able to finish this book in two days but I read this for 10 days... I don't know if it's simply a question of time or if the book was the problem. I didn't feel the need to read to know what would happen. The plot was good but not intriguing enough, maybe because it was very YA.
There are pros and cons of YA books like this. I loved that it was easy to read and understand but at times I felt like it was unnecessarily explaining simple concepts such as roman numbers.
*Update: 99% sure that the book wasn't the problem! It was really a question of timing and I was in a slump without realizing it!

However the beginning and the ending was really fun! I loved how all the characters were first introduced, seeing the dynamic between them and all their different personalities. It wasn't difficult to understand who was who albeit seeing them all at once at the reading of the will. I also did not expect the plot twist at the end!

And last but not least the Hawthorne brothers, I love them all. I have no clue who Avery ends up with and I still can't decide who I ship more.

I hope to have a better reading experience for the next two books.
