Puzzle Palace was a book in the Usborne Puzzle book series. This one in particular is part of the Young Puzzles selection, so it's meant for young children. The story follows Princess Posy who has just moved into Puzzle Palace, and she wants to throw a house-warming masked ball for all her friends. Unfortunately Daisy the fairy's invitation goes missing so she throws a hissy fit and casts a spell to make the party go wrong.

On each double page there are colourful scenes with many different objects, and at the beginning you are given lists of things to find as well as certain objects which appear on each page. I don't know if it's because I was tired, but some of the things took me a little while to find, so if I was a young child I might have got bored of looking. The story was cute and the pictures were nice to look at. I think the mazes were good - any good puzzle book has to have a maze or two - and I liked how all the characters who seemed to be menacing turned out to be nice, and everyone got invited to the party.

I didn't read this one with my cousin because firstly he's not a girl, and also because I think these Young Puzzles books are too young for him now, at 7 years old.
