It definitely has its flaws, but overall it was light and entertaining.
Thoroughly enjoyable - fun characters, great story.
nice story - not the most memorable writing style - I will read the sequel, though, because the characters are likeable
My first time reading this author...what a charming story. I took off one star because the ending seemed a little too "happily ever after" for my tastes. But all in all, a good read. Will read more in the series.
Lots of heart and a sweet story with great characters.
I thought this one (the 4th after the trilogy) was just OK. I just ordered Big Cherry Holler (the 2nd in the series) so I read them out of order. I had loved the very first in the series - but was a little disappointed by this one (as I was in Milk Glass Moon). I am still glad I read it, though, it was entertaining. I felt like Ave Maria became a more real person, more down to earth in this one.
I really like this story! I can't put my finger on why I think this, but it reminded me of "Hope Floats" with Sandra Bullock and I think she should play Ava Maria in the movie! I want to read more from this author.
A nice, charming little story that's easy to read. Feel as if it was really well written, and the characters especially so, that it didn't matter so much about the story because I loved reading about the characters anyway.
I think I finished this. Pretty sure I did. I remember liking the characters.
I really enjoyed this one, a nice easy read, fun, the kind of book that makes you smile when you are finished. The characters are well developed and quirky and full of flavor! I can't wait to read the other books in the series. :)
