Decided that I needed to read the last 30 or so pages at lunchtime which i don't normally do! Was tearing up in the cafe.

Not a fan. Read like every Nora Roberts book I've read

Trigiani did a great job creating a sense of place. I just didn't care for the syrupy story.

This was a nice book for the night but I won’t be continuing on with the series.

I will admit to skim reading parts of this book because I just liked certain characters or story arcs.

I liked this little book. It belongs on the "charmer" shelf. I don't relate to the commenters who have suggested the romance comes out of nowhere--I knew from the first moment Ave saw him in his underwear that Jack was the romantic lead, and I thought Trigiani did a nice job of making me cheer for him over Theodore. In fact, she did a nice job of showing those painful moments when Jack is hoping but our heroine is ignorant.

However, I also notice that now, when I've finished reading it and am looking back on it, I have to wonder how enduring the romance actually is. I mean, the socio-economic barriers between them are enormous. A summer in Italy won't solve that.

I understand that Big Cherry Holler is a true sequel, but I also find I'd like to leave Jack and Ave right where I left them...so I probably won't read it.

Thanks to @Fran Pratt for the recommendation.
emotional hopeful lighthearted relaxing medium-paced

I liked, nice romance story about a small town pharmacist , and her family history . I did the audiobook

I love this series.

Love, this series of books by Adriana Trigiani, just superb.

*** Picked this back up for a re-read (2010 & 2014). Needed a little guaranteed goodness.

I stayed up until 2 a.m this morning to read this book! I enjoy the style, the characters, the story-- Trigiani really hit on a nice tone and plot. I may even pick up the next in the series. Many thanks to Laura H. for the suggestion.

Entertaining read. Not very noteworthy.
