Romantic Alaskan adventure--sign me up! I loved how fun and carefree much of this book was; Graham and Zoey were adorable as a couple, as well as very lovable individuals in their own right. My issues with the book come from the insta-love and /rushed/ ending. The author definitely spent a bit too much time on the fun fun fun middle part (a bit drawn out) and took those pages away from fully fleshing out Zoey's final decision and the last chapter as a whole. Honestly, the most surprising part of the book was that Zoey didn't join Graham as a waitress at the Tourist Trap, and instead...became a wilderness guide for a forest she's only been in like, twice? Not sure about that one. Nevertheless, this was an easy-going romp through the Alaskan wilderness, and I enjoyed my time with it.

This book was really ok. I read it and at first loved it, but after finishing it I was annoyed. I don't understand some of the actions and choices of the main characters, and the ending was predictable. There were a few fatphobic statements, and that is not ok. I found it annoying that Grahm called Zoey "zoey-bear" every four seconds, and I found it annoying about his whole actions regarding the tourists. I did like the setting for this book, as I myself live in a very small mountain town, and I enjoyed some of the romance at the beginning of the book. This story was also very funny. Was okayed by this book, would not read again.

The Tourist Attraction was recommended on a podcast as a true romantic comedy - the reviewer talked about how funny that found it and that they were laughing out loud. I was really excited about it!
This book was enjoyable and the plot idea was fantastic but several things kept me from loving it. First, the hero of the book almost immediately takes to calling the protagonist "Zoey Bear" and uses it repeatedly. If any man tried that with me that would be the end of any interest I might have had in him. Each time it was used (and it was used a LOT) I was immediately pulled out of the story. There were also a few too many instances of men punching each other over stupid things. I found that really distracting as well.
However, I still somehow came to care about the characters and was invested in how their relationship came together. I cared about them and wanted them to be happy. So, if the premise sounds intriguing and the concept of cute nicknames doesn't annoy you, this will probably be a very good fit for you!
