I have no idea what this series is about.

I LOVE the artwork for this issue. This whole series, really. I also love the tone of the series, which they carried in perfectly into this issue. It fit well with the twists and betrayals that happened here as well.

I don't even know how to rate this.
Incredible art, no doubt. Dark and captivating. (to be fair I'm not a huge fan of how Batman is portrayed but you can't fault the gorgeous work at play). The story? Confusing and ultimately overdone. I really enjoyed the first issue and felt it had promise, but 2 and 3? Not so much and I almost feel like they lost their mojo after #1. Was it the Batawang controversy?

So Bats has done the thing he swore he wouldn't - he's taken someone else's life. And as long as he refuses to face it, his soul is compromised.

It's been months since I've read the other titles so I don't remember too much besides the infamous Batdick in issue one and Harley raping Bats in issue two... which really doesn't help...

So uh I think I get what's gone down but not quite.

3,5/5. The art was absolutely amazing for this short series. Unfortunately this ending wasn't as good as I was hoping/expecting. It was good, but it wasn't great. Even a bit confusing, trying to hard maybe... I would love to have more often those kind of darker Batman series. A series worth it for sure, but... again... it could have been so much more...
