From the unique and crazy first meeting of Kade (Lincoln) and Harper these two characters have a connection that keeps drawing them together.

Each of the two main characters have something in their past that is holding them back from living a full and happy life. Lincoln was neglected by his famous parents and Harper felt the hateful and vicious backlash of the media as a teenager. Both will have to overcome a lot to find a happy ending.

The author does a splendid job with character development and keeping the story engaging. The drama is realistic and ultimately the obstacle that has to be conquered.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

My first ever surprise baby novel and I liked it. A Little Mermaid twist with a celebrity hidden identity and I was hooked from the first chapter. Harper and Lincoln are so cute and I enjoyed reading about their love. I do wish that we could have had more detail about their weekend together that led to the baby instead of a fade to black. There’s spice through the rest of the book so I was confused why the first and probably spiciest scenes were cut out. Also I found Harper a little annoying with her inability to get over one traumatic experience from her childhood so that she could be with Lincoln.

Overall I enjoyed the book.

I had to pick this one up after finishing the first one and needing a palate cleanser int he middle of another book... I went ahead with this one.

So, this "re-telling" is the Little Mermaid but as in the first one there is mention of it and a few similarities but do not expect a very close and obvious parallel.

I love that we met Harper in the first book and we get her story. I look forward to the next curvy girl's story.
