Trigger warning: infant death
I liked Lenni’s snarkiness, but I just couldn’t get into this book and didn’t care at all about Margot’s backstory.

A magical, tender gem

Hoooooboy what a special book. I loved every page. And also cried a lot at the end. But like a warm cry. A “what a thing it is to be a human” cry.

Such a bittersweet story. I love the premise, but I feel the author could have done so much more with such a great storyline. It has a little bit of reread value, and I like that. Maybe I'll fall all the way in love with it the second time around.
