FINALLY, things in this book no longer were no longer easy to guess. I enjoy where Darren is going in this book and actually glad he is accepting who he is as a half-vampire. That is not saying I hate that he liked who he was as a human, but it is nice to see he is somewhat fitting into the "culture" of his night creature self.

(4.5) this was a hard book to rate. There was a time it seemed like a four star and times it was a five star, but overall I rated it a 4.5. One thing I liked about this instillation of the series is the time jump between this one and the last and the growth that Darren has had since we first met him in the first novel. I like that we get to see him maturing into a full-blooded vampire.
