A very different story tying two terrible events that happened in Manhattan - 9/11 (terror attack on Wall Street) and a factory fire. Both had s8milar consequences with people jumping out of the burning building. The scarf with Marigolds becomes the link between these two events centered around two women who both lost the person they loved. There is resolution at the end which nicely ends tragic and sad stories.

A story of two females dealing with tragedies in the dual storylines that eventually merge together by a scarf. The book mostly focuses on the first tragedy since that helps set up the plot. I would have liked to have more story of the second tragedy. The parts that were a little slow maybe could have been better used toward the second tragedy storyline instead. The theme is of loss but it does touch on love, survivor's guilt, and moving on.
