Not as life changing as It's been presented to me. Still, great writing, great concept, pretty good execution. It leaves a lot to the Imagination, but poor Oscar got flamed enough for the existing level of vulgarity in the book.
I love how ridiculous the characters are. Iconic like the author himself.
There's great literary value in the book, while still being entertaining. I think that's exactly what a book should strive to be.

It’s like having a conversation with Wilde about beauty, youth, society and all things debaucherous.

I think about this book often, even nearly 10 years later. I do not generally like dark reads, but this one was just so captivating. It is not gruesome or dark just to elicit a response from the reader, but to tell the story. It is highly effective. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Love, love, love this book. It was riveting! I couldn't stop reading it and when I had to, I got annoyed. It's a great book with a great, middle, and end. I adore Dorian Gray's character and his trouble with dealing with everything. Lord Henry's character was wonderful. I love his dialogue and how contradictory he is. Gladys was also another great character I didn't get enough of, she was the only witty female in the book. I didn't care much for Sibyl Vane, but I loved everything else.
