i finished the book yesterday and i wanted to think about the rating for a bit because i was between 4.75 and 5 stars, but after thinking about it, this book, the kids, Dallas, Diana, everything about this book; the tropes EVERYTHING changed my life in a way and now i have to continue living? hard to believe

My second Mariana Zapata and even though I love slow burn romance I couldn't connect with any of the characters. Slow burns are supposed to give us deeper understanding of characters but I don't felt like that book achieved that unfortunately. I'll try another one, let's hope third time's the charm!
Ariana Zapata books are crack to me. Nothing crazy happens in them they're just so subtly beautiful. The relationships she creates between characters are just stunning.

Good slow burn for anyone who likes a build up of tension between the characters before they get together. Would have given it a higher rating but it did feel like a bit too much of a slow burn for me personally. I would have liked to see a bit more of the relationship unfold before the book ended. I also felt like involving her past relationship wasn't necessary to the plot because there was so much to unfold with the other aspects of the story already
