Yet again I am absolutely blown away. At first I was skeptical with the change in narrator. I love Feyre. But Nesta kept me captivated and intrigued. I hated and loved her all at the same time. I saw her fighting to be the person she could be. The 700+ pages flew by and each part of it kept me captivated.

I loved A Court of Mist and Fury, but I think I like this one a little more. Nesta’s trauma, as well as the trauma of others, is so well-written. It made me pause and reflect on my own feeling, even if our experiences were nothing alike.

Sarah J Mass’ storytelling has greatly improved since the beginning of ACOTAR. The sex scenes are still a little cringy, but they’re better. The character development in this book is also very good, along with the worldbuilding. Sarah J Mass has done a great job at building a believable world and characters that really draw you in. I look forward to the next installment.

This book switches between Nesta and Cassian’s POV. It’s life after the war with Hybern, the beginning is Nesta’s battle with herself and everyone around her due to her own traumas that she is trying to deal with alone . She starts finding herself throughout the book though (not a smooth process at all) and
finally learns to accept herself and all of her ugly and eventually accepts Cassian as her mate. She finds her own set of friends as well as earning her place back in the inner circle. Nesta IS the main character.

It was so SLOW.
I really enjoyed the ending and the valkyrie storyline but Nestas mental health healing was very weird
