This book was long, hard, and difficult. I felt like I was following Nesta's journey along with her based on my reading experience. I had to check this book out of the library 3 times because I just took so long to finish it.

Going in, I didn't have the highest hopes. I didn't like Nesta, and I still wouldn't call her my favorite, but she grew on me a bit. Cassian on the other hand, will always be amazing. I enjoyed seeing Nesta grow and look back on herself, learning from past mistakes. I loved the new characters in this book. Gwyn and Emerie are great additions to the cast and I feel like they have a lot of potential in the future.

My gripe with this book is how long it is. I was fine with the number of pages, like its a long story, but wow, the middle section of this book is slow. The plot really only gets to it's climax around 80% and before that, I felt like I was barely being led along by a promise of a good ending. I get the reason why, because a lot of the slow moments are integral to Nesta's journey and make the transformation from her at the beginning to her at the end be seamless and give you the feeling of not knowing how far you've climbed until you look down, but man. I almost DNFed at 75%, which is saying something because I was already 500 pages in.

TLDR: Good book, made for some great moments, but definitely get ready for the long haul.

So I’ve just binged the entirety of acotar in the span of a week whoops.

Acosf is BEAUTIFUL! The development we see Nesta going through is *chef’s kiss*.
I will admit, Nesta is definitely one of my favorite characters in this universe, because damn, that girl has LAYERS!

I love how we see the Valkyries friendships develop, and how them making those connections helps Nesta (and Emerie and Gwyn as well I suppose) heal.
Also, who doesn’t like badass women?

This book is great, and I love that we get to see more of this world without having it through Feyre’s eyes (even tho I would enjoy more of that as well lol), and Nesta and Cassian as the main protagonists is just great.

I'm looking forward to more of this world, because it hasn’t disappointed yet

I really struggled to get into this book because Feyre is no longer the main character, instead it's Nesta. We get a bit of  a glimpse of post-war Nesta in a Court of Frost and Starlight, but we really get to see who Nesta is in this book. It took about 200 pages at least for me to really begin to enjoy the book, because Nesta is just SO miserable in the beginning. However, I think it's really important for the readers to understand that Nesta isn't mean and miserable and defiant because she wants to be, but because she's really struggling with her own mental health, and is afraid to let anyone get close again.
Once I got into this book, I began to INHALE it. The reintroduction of the Valkyries? Hell yes. Empowering battered women to be able to stand up for themselves and defend themselves if needed? Loved it. The very spicy scenes and the love interest? I'm drooling. The plot was amazing, with Rhys, Feyre, Cassian, and Azriel recovering from the war, only to find a new enemy and artifacts, which only Nesta has the power to find. That was a brilliant way to bring Nesta into the fold of the court, even begrudgingly, and to enable the court to begin to see her in a new light.
No worries for anyone who is afraid that Feyre won't be present in the story, she definitely is, but is more of a side character here. But she is still present and as lovely and lovable and fierce as ever. I'm super excited for the next book and what new perspectives that offers.

I always somewhat liked Nesta. I don't know why, but there was something about her I thoroughly enjoyed. And now I adore her. I'm so happy she got a good story and a chance.

I think it goes without saying that this book had me in a death grip to finish reading it. I don't know what Sarah puts in her writing to make it so addicting, but I love it.

I’m speechless. A Court of Silver Flames was so good. Watching Nesta and Cassian’s transformations honestly made me cry and watching Feyre & Rhy’s struggles pulled at my heart. I wish there had been more Mor & Az appearances, I also think Elain could have been more present. The spice was unbelievably good. All in all, I could have used more plot, but honestly Sarah J. Maas did not let us down.
