Such a beautiful chap w poems that both stand excellently on their own and work so well interconnected with one another. What an exciting introduction to Chong's work! Makes me eager to read more.

This collection is a little mesmerizing, a little hypnotizing. I connected with so many of the pieces on a personal level, which is always something I admire in a collection. The insertion of all the different bird names brought a bit of magic into these pieces; they could almost have been spells, or something. I wanted to restart this immediately after finishing the last poem!
