Fascinating read

This the 2nd book of the Baum’s Boxing and it overlaps a smidge with Below the Belt. (You should read a bit of the storyline weaves in to this one)
Ryan is a lawyer who still feels guilty over destroying his best friends life. He feels that he had sabotaged everything and doesn’t deserve anything good.

Cole is a Major in the Royal Navy and was blinded during combat. He’s still reeling from the after effects of being blind when he had been sighted his whole life.
Neither man want to have a relationship because they believe they are damaged goods. But a relationship blooms and it’s sweet and good and they finally have it.

But Coles past comes back to haunt him and you just don’t know who is doing what.
E.M Lindsey is extremely good at leaving little bits of information making you guess who is doing what. It was fun trying to figure out who the cast of characters were.

The writing style is awesome. I was hanging on to every word. I needed to see how Ryan and Cole developed their relationship.

I cannot wait to read book 3

If you like military veterans, thrillers and happy endings, definitely try out this book

I have to say, though I loved the story of this one, the poor editing really disappointed me. My brain snagged on every missing and incorrect letter or word, and sometimes books just have a slight lapse in editing quality at the end, but this was the whole book through. I can of course forgive E.M. Lindsey because as usual, their characters and storyline were incredible, and this book was really intense and enjoyable! They know how to write blind characters with such eloquence, giving the book a unique and important perspective. Everything that happened in this book drama-wise was so well written, and I didn't see the big twists coming. I just really wish it had been a bit more polished.
