Taming him

Oh my, where to begin!?!? Eeek this was just amazing, blew me away! This was the first book I’ve ever read so I was completely stunned at how steamy and racy Kennedy Fox writing was. I loved it, it was tantalizing, intoxicating, and enchanting. A summer must read with sexy and southernly charm! Fast past, exciting, and drama filled read to keep you on your toes. *I received this book from Kennedy Fox books as a prize from an Instagram giveaway.*

Kennedy fox never disappoints. I love that the story was about a nurse because I am one myself! It was a sweet story, although it didn’t feel like there was much conflict. Alex Bishop turned out to be a sweetheart and I loved the dynamic between him and River. This book was good, but it felt like a stepping stone to getting to know the rest of the bishop brothers- which isn’t something to complain about! I loved it. I was surprised (although I shouldn’t have been) that this turned out to be Courtney’s brothers. Granted it’s been awhile since I’ve read those books as well. Can’t wait to read more about these brothers!!! So far my favorite is Jackson 😜

The holiday romance between River and Alex really brought all the spice early on. River believed she knew what type of Cowboy Alex was and that was a player but when she got down to know him River started to see a different side to his playboy ways.

Taming Him had a very predictable storyline and nothing seemed to be questionable to River when she happily decided to move her life to the other side of the country for a man she wasn't even sure wanted her. Their story dragged on more than it should have and after Rivers' surprise visit to see Alex, it became boring. The tropes were very predictable and the cliche's annoyed me more than anything.

I have a new love for cowboys!

This was my first read by Kennedy Fox and it was perfect! I’ll be honest, cowboys have never been my thing. But you ladies know how to write them perfectly. There was humor and grittiness and swoon-worthy moments. I look forward to reading the rest of the Bishop brother books!

Taming Him is the first book in the Bishop Brothers series. This book is told from dual points of view from Alex Bishop and River Lancaster. Alex and River meet when they are both on vacation. They have a steamy vacation fling. That was all they planned it to be. However, when the vacation was over they both still had feelings for each other.

Alex gave River his number when he had to leave unexpectedly, but River never called him. He decided she didn't feel the same way and was going to give up his feelings for her, but three months after their fling, she shows up at his family's bed and breakfast. She has a secret of her own. Alex is the youngest Bishop brother and is the baby of the family.

When Alex finds out the secret, he's very excited and asks her to move to Texas. They start seeing each other to get to know each other more.

I really loved getting to know Alex and River. From a steamy vacation fling to getting to know each other, to moving in. Getting to know his crazy family. I loved Alex's banter with his brothers, and can't wait to get to know each of them in their own books!

I feel like if someone who said they disliked the surprise pregnancy trope had only read this book I would understand. Saying this as an absolute stan of the trope.

Sweet and dirty

Absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. Alex is most definitely swoonworthy and has a heart the size of Texas! Can't wait for more of the Bishop brothers!!
