THAT BEING SAID, I actually got a lot out of reading this. It's YA, so it's easy going and fun, and as I am already a fan of the show, I understood the world building without any effort. I really liked having more depth to life on the Ark, and I liked Glass as a character, as someone who isn't in the show at all. I was pleased to see some more definite Bellarke interactions but I was a bit frustrated with the potential love triangle the book seemed to suggest for the future.
I think I will read more of the books in this series, but I'm working hard to separate it from the show in my mind, because they really aren't alike at all beyond the basic set up. Although I suppose that means these books will be more fun to read because they won't just be novelisations of the show.

- The show is way better. Superior and amazing so it's not fair to compare but I thought they would be the same.
- The show and book are so different only similar things are the plot and main character names: Bellamy, Clarke, Octavia and Wells. And their characteristics are completely different.
- The book was literally only the first two episodes of season 1.
- Abby, Harper, Monty, Jasper, Kane, Finn, RAVEN! Are non existent
