Worth it for the character arcs and ending, but a bit of a slow development in the middle and sometimes frustrating to switch between such different character perspectives.

Ugh! Why do I do this to myself? Now I just want to keep reading more of Throne of Glass, but I seriously don’t have time for anything except the audiobooks. Still, I’m once again completely absorbed in this magical world and loving watching the assassin, slave, and long-lost queen try to find herself as she’s stuck between all of her identities.

I feel like the love triangles are definitely starting to fade, and one clear love interest is finally coming forward. I’m also constantly thinking about how this world connects to ACOTAR. I can’t help but compare them, and it makes me love it all even more.

The world and magic system building is so good. Usually high fantasy starts to lose me when the world gets too complex, but here, I just keep wanting more. Sarah J. Maas does such a great job describing the creatures and diving into the characters’ thoughts and emotions.

At first, I thought I’d get confused when more character perspectives were added, but it all flowed so well. Instead of feeling lost, I just wanted to know more about everyone.
