I won't lie, I skimmed a good deal of the second half of the book. I found the author's discussion of his childhood and his experiences during his pre-prison life interesting but once that part was over, there was just too much rambling on about baseball and other things that didn't feel relevant.
I'd go 2.5 if Goodreads had a half-star option.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review. Yes, this has been in my pile for a few years.

I'm currently obsessed with true crime. And I know I'm extremely last to the WM3 story. But I watched the Devils Knot with my mum, was intrigued. Watched around seven hours of paradise lost one Sunday and promptly downloaded this.
Really enjoyed it, and loved that it wasn't just a repeat of the documentaries.

I’ve noticed a lot of people in reviews complaining about the over use of the word magik or other phrases. It’s the personality of Damien. It’s was very interesting to see how he feels vs the Paradise lost trilogy and West of Memphis. I still need to read Jason Baldwins’s book to see things from his side.
