Beautifully rendered and detailed views of various Parisian neighborhoods. It's fun to search amongst the the scenes for items that Simon loses!

Love the cameo of Madeline and all her friends!
A wonderful seek and find book complete with an exasperated older sister and carefree little brother. Amazing depth of detail in the illustrations, which of course, makes the seeking that much more fun! Reminds me very pleasantly of [a:Diane Goode|6877|Diane Goode|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1303860832p2/6877.jpg]'s artwork. Probably a lot is the similar time period she also likes to focus on.
Also...
There's a lady knitting something red in the first spread! ;)
Hee hee!

Reminds me of "Make Way for Ducklings". End papers show Adele and Simon's journey through Paris. Simon keeps losing things along the way and readers may enjoy searching through the detailed illustrations to spot his missing items.

I just noticed how oddly similar this book is to [b:Abroad |20656954|Abroad 1882 |Thomas Crane|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1391101599s/20656954.jpg|20126803] (published in 1882), wonder if the author got inspiration from it. It sure has an old feel to it. We love those Adèle and Simon books by the way ...

The story itself is not much more than stringing together adventures around Paris, but the illustrations are so charming. I got this book to help my kids get ready to go back to Paris and they had fun recognizing some of the landmarks, and asking questions about some of the new places they'll see this summer.

The story of a little boy who misplaces everything on his way home from school. The pictures are like Victorian paintings of Paris but each is also incredibly detailed and the child can search for the items that Simon loses on each page.
