I’ve only read a couple of Emily Henry books but this by far is my favorite. I did not see any of the twists coming. The suspense throughout the book was spot on, no dragged out too much and with enough juicy tidbits every once in a while to keep you wanting more, and the romance was great without being the only focus.

4 ⭐️ I really enjoyed the premise of this book, and the romance. I thought it was really sweet & there were a few quotes that really resonated with me. However, I did find myself wanting a bit more from the past storyline…it felt a bit rushed or unfleshed, some parts that i would’ve liked to have been better explored. Overall I did enjoy the book though. The epilogue really took off some points for me though but I just don’t really like that particular thing in epilogues.

This is a good book, but it’s my least favorite Emily Henry book. I think I was only kind of interested in Margaret’s story so all of the flashbacks I found kind of boring. I did not predict the ending to Margaret’s story though so I enjoyed that. As for Alice and Hayden, I didn’t really buy their romance. I felt like it sort of came out of nowhere. They didn’t really have much chemistry in my opinion. However, I was very interested in Alice’s story and learning why she is the way she is. This is also the only Emily Henry book that has made me cry. Still a good book, but just be warned it has a very different vibe from her other books.
