3.5 ⭐️ I was more interested in the story within the story and kind of wish that was the main plot. Still, it was an entertaining summer read.

The beginning was a bit slow for me so it took me a while to get into it. But I overall really enjoyed the book, it’s not just romance (Hayden and Alice’s chemistry just came right off the pages) but it touched upon legacy, family and how messy but beautiful life can be. A bit different than Emily Henry’s usual style but I loved the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo vibes.
