A solid rom com. I liked the story within a story, which provided a little more heft than your typical arc of romantic build up, getting together, tension that threatens the relationship, and finally getting together for real. The premise/Margaret's story reminded me a bit of Taylor Jenkins Reid. Could see this as a mini-series

I think this time, Emily Henry bit off more than she could chew - or simply the book wanted to do more than it could.
It started off way too Taylor Jenkins Reid-esc, but okay, forgivable. I don't think the story within a story approach worked, it felt too busy. The romance wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. I also thought the twist was extremely obvious, and not well executed at all.
