Creepy and quick audiobook to finish, and just in time to celebrate Halloween!

I'm sure everyone can see the ending coming, but that doesn't mean this isn't a really fun story. :)

Genuinely scary with a fantastic ending. So glad I decided to pick this series up again! I appreciate it way more now than I did when it was making me pee myself as a kid.

My OG favorite Goosebumps.

Still holds up to this day, I think if there’s any one of these that can sum up what makes Goosebumps so good, it’s the haunted mask.

5/5

Brings back me watching Goosebumps and round the twist as a kid after school, i had read a few on the books as a kid as well as round the twist!

Carly Beth wants to get her own back on those who scare her, she gets a mask that is horrifying but changes Carly beth too. Scary for its time... for kids this would be a 5 star for me 3.5

That’s not how this story ended. NO. NO. NOPE. I will NOT believe that’s how horrifyingly the story ended.
I’ll tell you exactly how it did -

So after Noah introduced himself to her sister with the haunted mask, Carly Beth panicked, she jolted upright from her chair and ran to her brother, and before the mask could completely sink into Noah’s skin, Carly Beth put her hands between the mask and him, and pulled it right off! It hurt Noah a lot, and he had a few scratches over his face, but it was worth it.
Carly Jean did not waste another second, she strode over to her back yard, took out a shovel, dig a hole and threw the damn mask in there, she filled the hole again, and pulled her mother and brother inside her house. She told them everything, and warned his brother never to wear any sort of mask ever again, and for the first time ever, his brother obediently agreed. THE END.

Phewwwww. Oh my goodness, I can’t believe a middle grade book for 11 year olds made me feel so twisted and anxious.

P.S. I finished reading it in one sitting!

I only rated it this high because it made me read when I otherwise wouldn't. Nostalgic value.

Is this the greatest Goosebumps ever? Potentially no but of the ones I've read and can remember, yes. Delightfully spooky and taking place on Halloween which gives it that extra special bump in appropriateness. Think twice the next time you wear a Halloween mask.
